San Francisco!!

Landon and I just enjoyed a wonderful four days in San Francisco. There was an open house for a law firm on Tuesday night that provided a great excuse for leaving Aiden with my in-laws (thank you Roger and Sue!!) and heading out. Of couse since it was Landon and I traveling we had car trouble. We drove his sister's old Mercury Mystique that needed a little TLC to make it. Luckily we just had to take one break for it to cool down. Other than that it was great.

On Saturday evening we met up with my friend Sarajane and her husband for dinner. When we got to SF it was about 55 degrees, which was a 50 degree drop from 105 degree Bakersfield. Needless to say, we were freezing!! And of course, we weren't really prepared for the weather so I wore the same sweater all four days.
On Sunday we woke up and did a tour of churches. We started at Glide memorial which has a fabulous gospel choir to wake us up. Click here to see a video. After that we headed to Grace cathedral for a few minutes of their service. This is a picture of Landon in front. Then we walked to the LDS chapel for sacrament meeting.

After church we went to the Japanese Tea Gardens in Golden Gate Park to "find enlightenment" I called my family while we were there and my brother told me that the enlightenment was on top of the bridge, so the picture of me on the bridge is of me finding it.
On Monday we went to the Boudin bakery and museum. Landon was in bread heaven. After inhaling a loaf of sourdough bread we walked along fisherman's wharf.
After meandering the streets for an hour or two we rented bikes and biked across the Golden Gate bridge to Sausalito, a little town on the other side. The bridge was shrouded in fog, which made for cold biking but beautiful pictures.

On our last day. We got a dark chocolate raspberry sundae from Ghiradelli. enough said.
