We made it!! Sorry for the delay in blogging, with moving and everything I just haven't gotten around to a new blog. We still have a couple boxes in the mail with the cord for our camera, so I only have a picture we took with the Allred's camera.
The move was somewhat uneventful- except that our car died. Landon was in Waynesboro, about 40 minutes outside of Charlottesville, putting all of our stuff in storage and I was dropping Aiden off at my visiting teacher's house before I went to go meet him. I walked outside and the car wouldn't start- it had no problems leading up, it simply wouldn't start. I called a tow truck that came and got the car and towed it to our friend's house where we are storing it for the summer. So when we get back we will be greeted with a dead car. I don't know what our problem is with cars and moving but next time we move I will just have to add another thousand dollars into the expected moving costs to account for it.
We are LOVING Bakersfield. Aiden is having the time of his life with his cousins, aunts and grandparents- and Piko the dog. He will have a difficult transition when we get back to Virginia. In some VERY exciting news, we would like to announce that Aiden is now crawling and rolling over. He actually figured out crawling and pulling up on things before rolling over, which was interesting, but he has now mastered both and is becoming quite the mobile boy. And for everyone that said I should be grateful for an immobile child- you were right!! It was so much easier when he stayed in a two foot radius. But he doesn't get as frustrated now because he can go to his toys so that's nice.
Last night we celebrated being in Bakersfield by having a poolside barbecue followed by dancing at Buck Owen's Crystal Palace with Landon's sister Tawna and her friend Clayton. We had a great time!

We are glad you guys are all moved in! And equally as glad that Aiden is crawling :)

What are you doing for Aidan's b-day? We will be thinking of him since he and Syd share the same birthday:)
Hey guys! Sorry about the car. That stinks! I guess the both of us have bad car luck. I am glad that Bakersfield is going well. It sounds like you are having a great time there. Keep in touch! We miss you guys.

One more thing... Congrats Aiken on crawling!

I finally made it to your "summer blog". I'm so happy for your guys that the packing and moving is over and you are happily settled in at the Allred house. I wish I could say the same for us. I'm not looking forward to it. The good thing about being with Roger and Sue is they can completely understand and sympathize about the bad car luck. They could tell stories that would top anyone. Good luck in B-town this summer and hooray for Aiden and his new mobility. It won't be long now until he is running around the house.
